NAME CHANGE AND DONATIONS

We’re so grateful for your support of Hope Ignites St. Louis, formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis! As we work through our legal name change with the Internal Revenue Service, we need your help to ensure gifts reach us without delay.

We’ve seen some confusion in online giving portals during this transition. While we’re updating our name to Hope Ignites in these systems, some portals and donor-advised fund (DAF) databases may still list us as Boys Hope Girls Hope until the IRS change is complete.  Please double-check the name, address, and EIN before you give:

Memorial Funds

A gift to Hope Ignites St. Louis in honor of a friend or loved one is a meaningful and lasting way to celebrate their accomplishments, lives, and memory.

Immediately upon receipt of your gift, the honoree or family will be notified in writing. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed. Fill out the online donation form for a tribute gift.

Multi-Year Pledges & Recurring Gifts

Consider a long-term commitment to the success of our program. Monthly and quarterly gifts can be set up on your credit card with our online donation form, and annual pledges are gratefully accepted. Contact Jan Wacker for more information on this process.

Gifts In-Kind

We accept gifts-in-kind that can be used in our programs or sold to generate revenue. Examples include food, furnishings, computers, linens, cars, real estate, and school or office supplies.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts include gifts through a will, life income gifts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance, and charitable trusts. We urge you to consult with your attorney or professional tax advisor about the possible benefits of making a planned gift to Hope Ignites St. Louis. This foresighted generosity saves you in taxes, gives you peace of mind, and provides a future for our scholars.

Stock Gifts

Gifts of long-term appreciated stock allow donors to avoid paying capital gain tax and are fully deductible for up to a maximum of 30% of your adjusted gross income if you have owned the stock for at least 12 months prior to making the transfer.  Please contact our office to obtain specific instructions on making a stock gift.

EITC Tax Credits

Does your company pay Missouri State taxes? Hope Ignites St. Louis, Inc. is a qualified Educational Improvement Tax Credit organization under the Scholarship Organization category. Once approved, your organization will receive tax credits on gifts made to our organization.  Find more information about the Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) here.
